The goal of this project above all else is to re-create Master of Magic in my personal vision. My vision for the project is to try and stay as close to the original game as possible in structure and makeup without changing what the game is at its core: a game about building a powerful empire through diplomacy, warfare and best of all - magic. The best way to put what I want to accomplish would be to create a solid base of sourcecode that emulates the original game as cloesly as possible. From there, I would like to flesh out more detail and functionality to an already great game, think of it like a second iteration of the game like a Master of Magic 2 if one were to exist.

What this really comes down to is I thoroughly enjoyed the original Master of Magic even with all its flaws. I still think its one of the best games in its unique genre to this day. However, I always wished I could modify the game, change this and tweak that and add the ability to do these things, etc. Now I am in a position to do this and am working steadily to produce something unique and in the tradition of the original.
